Semi-Gloss and Gloss Finish
A semi-gloss and gloss finish both provide a high sheen finish that retains a reflective shine when dry. Renowned for its durability and hardwearing characteristics, this finish is often used on internal doors in areas such as the kitchen and bathroom as it offers high resistance to moisture.
A satin finish (also known as satinwood) provides a smooth semi-gloss paint finish that retains a pearl-like sheen when dry. It’s does not appear as reflective as a ‘gloss finish’ but not as flat as an ‘eggshell finish. Often chosen to create a modern and contemporary interior, as the colour appears more solid in state due to its low reflective properties.
A Matte finish provides a flat finish with very little to no reflective, shiny or sheen qualities. Often used within areas that have above average foot fall due to its high durability and maintenance qualities.
Our Primed Doors also known by the industry as ‘paint-grade or ‘paint-ready are paper faced as standard. Primed doors arrive with a base coat of primer, allowing you to paint them your desired colour without having to sand and prime yourself beforehand.
The primer acts as a base coat that seals the wood creating a layer for the adhesion to be added to achieve the final look. A primed finish offers a smooth and paint-ready surface, ideal for adding bespoke colors and designs to compliment your interior.
